Description The article explores the question of how Brno, from 2005 to 2017, reflects that the city was 65% German until 1918 and, as a result of the Holocaust and the devastation of the Germans, had a profound change in its history. The generation of Brno named in the title (born between 1922 and 1936) is compared here to the generation of Ondřej Liška, Kateřina Tučková, Alexander Brummer and Michal Konečný (born between 1977-1982), who deal with the de-tabooing of the Brno death march and has made the discontinuity of the city's history worthwhile. However, Ota Filip (born in 1930) and Jiří Kratochvil (born in 1940) already worked here. Following on from Andreas Huyssen and Aleida Assmann, an explanation is given of the revision of the culture of remembrance currently taking place in Brno
