Description The paper focuses on the role of literature in the main corporate periodical of the Baťa company called The Communication, later Zlín, published in the interwar period. The magazine served as a means of communication between management and employees and as a means of promoting the company's cultural policy. Baťa's ethos based on values such as labor, productivity, but also modernity in the broadest sense of the word is in many ways different from that of literature as it is presented on the pages of Baťa's press.
