Description The German dialects of Hauerland region in central Slovakia are nowadays little discussed, if ever, within German dialectology. The steadily declining number of dialect speakers is a factor why this language has to be documented. The aim of this article is to present the German dialects of the Hauerland, with the focus on the village of Malinová (Zeche). I am going to present results from the master's thesis of the same name, whereby I will focus on the verb morphology of the dialect in a more detailed way. I will describe different possibilities of the subjunctive verb forms, which differ from those of standard German and the German dialects.
