| Description | In my paper I present my dissertation project, in which I deal with the post-apocalyptic literature. I focus on the definition of this genre and its setting into a broader literary theoretical context. I will discuss the functions of the literary sub-genre with an emphasis on the warning function, which I want to deal with primarily in my research. The warning function can be seen as a collective task of individual works of post-apocalyptic literature, as well as the motif of the apocalypse itself, which alternates many forms in contemporary culture and art. |
