Description Adaptation of beginning teachers in schools is not an isolated process. Colleagues (mainly introducing teachers) and school management are significantly involved. However, we do not know much about their work in introducing new teachers. The aim of the present study is therefore to describe the current form of introducing new teachers into the practice of Czech schools and to map the needs of individual actors involved in this process. For this purpose, a quantitative survey was used, in which three groups of respondents were addressed by the questionnaire: novice teachers, mentors, and persons responsible for novice teachers´ introduction in kindergartens, primary and secondary schools. The selected results present typical features of the current state of introduction of new teachers, the basic needs of the respondent groups in this process and the perceived professional perspective of the respondents.
