| Description | This paper deals with the problematic status of the appositive constructions of the type palabra clave, fecha límite, considered by different Spanish linguists as syntagmatic compounds, phrasemes or free syntactic structures. As we try to demonstrate, the principal causes of this diversity of opinions lie both in the heterogeneity of the nominal constructions in question and in the insufficiently precise criteria of delimitation between syntagmatic compounds and phraseological units. |
