Description The Czech Republic is the country with the highest library network density in the world. There are more than 5000 libraries, representing one library for every 1,971 Czech citizens. In many places, libraries serve as a natural center of community activities. That is why the Department of Information Studies and Librarianship, with the support of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, launched a project aimed at supporting libraries as catalysts for social innovation.
