| Description | Commemorating various anniversaries was an integral part of communist propaganda. At the same time, it was not only the “big” anniversaries (the liberation of Brno by the Red Army), but the anniversary of a more intimate one, such as the birth or death of important Soviet figures, also achieved a significant position. Remembering similar significant days was of great importance in the education of a new socialist man, moreover, his ideal image was composed of the characteristics of exceptional people. What does education as an example mean in communist education and what importance has it captured in communist pedagogy? What figures were reminded in schools? What was the ideological significance of the celebration and how did it take place? |
