| Description | The aim of this text is to define elementary forms of everyday Balkan life; to incorporate them into cultural developments using the standard academic terms of progress, regress, and retardation; to differentiate long- and short-term manifestations of these forms; to define their place in everyday life; and to identify the connection between their existence and the reasons they are considered to be “underdeveloped.” The text mainly focuses on several areas in which cultural elementality was once extremely distinctive. |
