| Description | Rouran was a nomadic ethnic community in the area of Central Asia which began to shape up in the 4th century and created a powerful Khanate in the 5th century lasting until the mid-6th century. They occupied the territory of current Mongolia, south of Russia, around Lake Balkhash in the west, and North China in the east. In 552-555 they were defeated by the Turks. In my contribution, I would like to analyse role of the tribal leader and religion of the Rouran Khanate. |
