Description In the presentation I analyzed how The Tale of Genji, a classical work of Japanese literature was adapted to an otome game titled Genji koi emaki. I focused on aspects that might have motivated changes in the work such as possibilities of the digital game medium, genre convetions of otome games and contemporary tendencies in reception of The Tale of Genji.
