| Description | The volume from the edition of the comprehensive critical edition of Leoš Janáček's works contains a critical edition extended by a transcription of the libretto in three languages (Czech, English, German) and a detailed critical report in English. The edition is based on all surviving sources and incorporates into the musical text - with regard to Janáček's active participation in the first staging of the opera - the dynamics elaborated by František Neumann, as well as the interpretive notes of Sir Charles Mackerras. |
