Description This paper aims to carry out a study of the presence of the Moravian composer Leoš Janáček (1854-1928) in the Spanish music press, based on the analysis of the different resources found mainly in the four most important and reference music magazines in Spain: Ritmo, Scherzo, Melómano and Ópera actual. Among them we find advertisements and musical criticism of concerts and opera performances at a national and international level, record reviews, special reports, interviews with artists... published in the aforementioned magazines in the period between 1930 and 2018. Thus, the study presented here links to a first approach to the sources around the composer located in the RTVE archive, the results of which were recently presented within the VI International Conference MUSPRES 2018 of SEdeM in Cuenca (Spain), and is ultimately framed in a more general research focused on the reception of Janáček works in Spain.
