Description The article draws attention to the special development of Greek poleis in comparison with the development of Achaemenid Persia. He points to the fact that the atomized Greek world supported the competition, the development of production, and the rapid transfer of knowledge. Compared to Greek Persia, Greek communities were small and poor, but in the long run, developments based on dynamism, activity, and less control were beneficial.
