Description This year we commemorate the anniversary of the death of Max Dvořák, an art historian - a member of the Vienna School of Art History. The original concept of teaching art history in Brno was also inspired by his wonderfully open art-historical thinking. It was not static in any way, but on the contrary, it gradually changed so that it was possible to understand the works of art and their spiritual content over and over again. We will therefore commemorate it through some of his texts on early medieval art: (a) Max Dvořák and the Vienna School of Art History; (b) Max Dvořák and his conception of continuity and discontinuity of late Roman and early medieval art; (c) Max Dvořák: from spiritual content to prophetic fantasy.
