Description The lecture discussed a proposition of a methodological distinction that may be worthy to put into use when theorising the Cixous' concept of écriture féminine. In the lecture, the frames of "writing the body" and "writing from the body" were both introduced, the former defined as a tendency to use the body as an occurring motif that construes the body in the text as a sort of a canvas for life happening to it; the latter was described a creative method that can be traced in the structure of the text itself. Strategies as accenting procesuality, self-reflectivity revealing the text genesis, reflecting upon the (problematic, but necessary) process of using the language and tendency to postpone meaning-making, and nonlinearity were dealt with and connected with the context of so-called "slow thinking", a pursuit of careful, measured or ambivalent denoting, and extreme attention to detail as tools intentionally used for slowing down the narrative.
