| Description | The presentation follows Němcová's plan to write prose about a heroine from lower social classes, called Woman from the People or The Lady of the People, as mentioned in correspondence with Václav Čeňek Bendl Stránický (1832–1870) alias Fabián Čočka. While the short story of the announced name never came out, Němcová touched on the subject in the prose of Baruška (1853) and Chýže pod horami (1858). She used several intertexts (eg K. Gutzkow and Paul de Musset). |
