| Description | The work of exile composers of the 20th century still falls into the area of insufficiently solved problems of music historiography, biography, but also practical music performance. It often presupposes international cooperation and a deeper understanding of the political and cultural differences of the composers' domestic and exile environments. Special attention should be paid to the current issues of performing Jan Novák's work, whose 100th birth anniversary we are commemorating this year. The workshop should try to map and evaluate the situation of operating, publishing and recording his work in the context of his contemporaries, both domestic and exiled. |
