Description The paper focuses on the Hussite envoy sent from the Diet of Kutná Hora to Lithuania in September 1421 with an offer of the royal crown for Prince Vitold of Lithuania. According to the findings so far, the envoy did not reach its destination because it was captured by Duke Hanus of Ratibor. Despite the protests of the King of Poland and the Prince of Lithuania, the latter sent the captured envoys to Sigismund of Luxembourg. In the archive of the Grand Master of the Order of German Knights (GStA-PK, XX. HA, OBA) a hitherto neglected source relating directly to the legation has been preserved (GStA-PK, XX. HA, OBA 3523). It is a contemporary copy of three credentials and one envoy's instruction (2 September 1421, Kutná hora). This new source contains a lot of additional information about the composition of the legation and its contents. It also raises a number of important questions, as it is the last Hussite message before the arrival of Sigismund Korybutovich in Bohemia.
