Description This research report focuses on the excessive use of the Internet by adolescents aged 13-17 years, comparing data before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. Pre-pandemic data come from the EU Kids Online IV project (Bedrošová et al, 2018). Data were collected between October 2017 and February 2018 in schools (N = 1442). The data during the pandemic come from the FUTURE project. Data collection took place using an online questionnaire in Czech households in November 2020 at the time of mostly closed schools due to the Covid-19 pandemic (N = 1297). The results show that there was an increase in all five measured symptoms of excessive internet use.
