Description The confiscation of monastic estates is a phenomenon that stretches throughout the history of these institutions of the Catholic Church and has always resulted in large-scale property transfers. The conference focused on examining the processes and circumstances of the dissolution of monasteries (from the Theresian and Josephine reforms, through the Kulturkampf and the period of World War II to the 1950s) and their consequences in a wide range of aspects, manifested up to the present days.
