Description Extreme metal works not only with extreme music but also with extreme expression. This is also manifested at the level of discursive transgression of social norms and various taboos. In extreme metal, for example, we may encounter "non-traditional sexual practices" such as necrophilia and various forms of brutal violence, even in connection with sex (for example, in the form of sadism topics). Sex and violence in extreme metal are also associated with occult discourse which is important feature especially of black and death metal. The article, based on the example of the Austrian blackened death metal band Belphegor, shows how sex and violence are incorporated into the occult, or explicitly satanic, discourse in extreme metal.
