Description This paper focuses on impulsivity as a significant predictor of risk-taking and decision-making in the context of military leadership. It examines the possible sources and implications of elevated levels of impulsivity in this specific leadership domain, looks at the approaches to studying this subject, as well as other key implications of this construct. Attention is also paid to the prevention and elimination of undesirable forms of impulsive behavior, especially in the context of dealing with challenging situations in the real conditions of professional activity of military leadership students and in the performance of military service of military leaders.
