Description The shaping and reshaping of landscapes has always been directly proportional to the flows of material and energy, whether natural or anthropogenic in origin; the dynamics of landscape change has always been directly proportional to the dynamics of growth of energy. The shaping of the landscape takes place in subordination to the natural conditions on which the peasant in a given locality is entirely dependent and whose order he tries to adapt to. As well as the natural order, the peasant is also subject to the social order - he is not the owner of of the land, only a user. Moreover, his claim to land is bound in two ways - by the social hierarchy on the one hand, and the community of the village on the other.
