| Description | The author of the present study deals with Bakoš’s contribution to the search for new approaches in literary criticism as such. The main problem of the contemporary crisis situation of literary criticism consists – besides other things – in the controversies concerning the heritage of literary criticism, the continuity with the traditions of literary criticism in the Slovak national, supranational, and international framework. The kernel of the present explication deals, above all, with the problems of comparative and genre research, but also with some 31 other thematic entities as well as with the position of a creative thinker under the impact of the ruling ideology in the flow of conflicting methodologies including immanent approaches and phenomenology (Russian formalism, Prague Linguistic Circle, Roman Jakobson, Zdeněk Mathauser, etc.). |
