| Description | The conference's contribution deals with the issue of natural resources in the Zavolochye region, which had been colonized by the troops of Novgorod the Great since the 10th century. Until now, historians have focused mainly on furs, which were the primary good that the Hansa exported from Russia, although the list of products that the Novgorodians obtained from this area was much more varied. The paper focuses on these secondary natural sources, the beginnings of their extraction and their importance for Novgorod's foreign trade. |
