| Description | It has been several years since new media had become an own form of art, yet we often find that some institutions are hesitant to collect such works. There are certainly a number of reasons behind this, some of which are based on the very nature of audiovisual works. The contributory institutions financed by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic have long faced a lack of finances. It is necessary to have appropriate technical equipment and experience to care for audiovisual works. The authority in this field on the Czech scene is the National Film Archive, which is making efforts to improve the situation of institutions through the Video Archive project and forthcoming publications. |
