| Description | The subject of the lecture was the music to the film Radúz and Mahulena by Petr Weigl (1939–2018), shot in 1970 based on Julius Zeyer's drama of the same name with the stage music by Josef Suk. The goal was to present in an interesting way how the music dramaturge of the movie, composer Luboš Fišer, transformed Suk's music for the film. Cooperating with Weigl's screenplay and direction, he created a new full-scale form of Suk's work. He used parts of the original stage music as well as the suite Pohádka, based on the stage music motives and composed by Suk for concert performances. The lecture has been published in the form of a larger study in the periodical Opus musicum. |
