Description This article focuses on the influence of mass media and information technologies on the work of contemporary Spanish writers belonging to the Generation Mutante (also called Generation Nocilla or Generation Afterpop). It is dedicated to pangeic literature whose main feature is the use of methods and resources of technological and media communication (blog, chat, sms, video, magazine, television programme, Google search engine) to represent the reality of the 21st century, and their incorporation into literary works. In its first chapters it summarises the main characteristics of the Generation Mutante and pangeic literature in general, and in the following chapters it presents the most representative literary works. At the end it attempts to situate this type of literature in the panorama of contemporary Spanish prose and reflects on its innovative character and originality.
