Description The chapter first describes the concept of personality-oriented professional training for social educators at the Department of Social Pedagogy at the Faculty of Education of Masaryk University in Brno. Subsequent chapters are then devoted to the course of applied improvisation, which is the youngest innovation in this module. The authors deal with previous research on the use of applied improvisation in areas related to possible employment of social educators and outline the possibilities of using applied improvisation in the professional education of social educators. The last part of the chapter consists of a summary of research on the development of social and emotional competencies of social pedagogues through applied improvisation.
