| Description | Although medieval literary sources are not a true reflection of reality, they can be a gateway to understanding the ideas and mentality of the society of that time. Taverns undoubtedly belonged to the world of medieval man. The paper will focus on the depiction of this socialising place in 14th century Old Bohemian literature and will try to answer the question of why authors write about taverns in the way they do. |
