Description The paper presents an attempt to summarize the existing research and the state of research on one of the neglected topics of the so-called forced inner migration in Czechoslovakia, with an emphasis on Moravia. The study is divided into separate subchapters. First, it pauses to consider the source base and the possibilities for interpretation. The next chapter outlines the main trends in research around internal migration due to the creation of military shooting ranges from the end of World War II to the present. Thanks to the sources, we can also ask questions that can contribute to a comprehensive understanding of the functioning and establishment of the new self-governing institutions and persons within it. There are significant areas of contact in the official sources that can inform new research to understand the process of the Third Republic's transfer to the February coup. Tracing the process of change in agriculture also appears to be a very interesting aspect, since in some cases collectivisation was taking place in the period before February 1948. In a separate chapter, the author focuses on the Benešov region as a specific phenomenon in the context of forced internal transfers in Czechoslovakia. In the last chapter, she discusses the state of existing research on the Moravian military training area. The study concludes by outlining further directions for research, of which it sees the study of analogous processes abroad and the use of interdisciplinary approaches as the most beneficial, leading to a more comprehensive understanding of the issue of forced transfers within the Central European space.
