| Description | In this lecture, the audience was introduced to the work of Carlos Fuentes, who was at the birth of magical realism in Mexico, the features of his work and the available translations of his books into Czech. His novel Aura was set in the literary and cultural context of the time, especially the so-called Latin American Boom and the New Latin American novel and the current of magical realism. Subsequent analysis of the work focused in particular on the main symbols involved and the use of the narrator. |
