Description We describe how proverbs were used in the production of Open Educational Resources (OER) within the framework of the project Romance languages for Slavic-speaking university students (https://www.lmooc4slav.eu/) - (project of ERASMUS, EUROPEAN UNION). According to the William Flora & Hewlet Foundation (2013), OER involve "[... resources for teaching, learning and research that reside in the public domain or have been published under an intellectual property licence that allows their free use and remixing by others [...] include complete courses, course content, modules, books, videos, tests, software and any other tool, material or technique used that supports and enables access to knowledge...". The aim of the creation of OER in the Slavic academic context, within the framework of the said project, is therefore to create and facilitate access to a wide range of didactic resources of Portuguese as a Foreign Language with curricular specialisation, namely in the areas of Medicine, Economics, Mathematics, Philology, Journalism and Law. In the proposed presentation we intend to show that proverbs can also make a significant contribution to the didactics of PLE with curricular specialisation, serving as a bridge that unites general knowledge with the professional scientific world, and at the same time as a motivational component that reinforces communicative and discursive skills. The aim of the proposed presentation will be to describe the different contexts in which the proverbs have been inserted, and this within the framework of a qualitative and contextual analysis.
