Description Based on laboratory, documentary and typological analysis, the newly discovered metal mass find from Kostice was reconstructed into six pieces of spiral jewellery and a fragment of a blade accompanied by relics of a pottery vessel. The hoard was dated to the early or middle stage of the Middle Bronze Age and linked to analogous findings in the Danube region. Use-wear analysis documented production techniques, functional and post-deposition changes. The deliberate deformation of some bronze artefacts was also documented. Analysis of analogies of artefact shape and decorative elements points to a possible connection with the production centre in the Carpathian basin.
