Description The Fleur des Histoires contains two types of geographical data and excursus. In the first case, in Book 1, they are used as part of the narration of an episode in biblical or secular history: these geographical data are present throughout the narrative; in the chapters following the Old Testament narrative and preceding Roman history, in particular, we can see the effort made to locate battles and cities, or to anchor peoples and dynasties in specific places. In the second case, an entire section of the work is taken up by a geographical treatise (Les Provinces du monde), occupying the penultimate section of book 2. This treatise is a translation of De proprietatibus rerum by Barthélemy l'Anglais, produced by Jean Corbechon, and occupying book XV.
