Description With the onset of the 1990s, Ukrainian culture was awakened and resurrected, and so was literature. Many artists who had written before, returned to literature, but also a new generation came. Literature written by women is taking on a new dimension, the thematic definition of the generation of women writers born during the 1950s and 1960s, whose work is marked by feminist tendencies. With the arrival of the 1990s, however, the feminist engagement of the texts of Ukrainian women writers is gradually disappearing and is replaced, or rather supplemented, by belonging to the so-called Generation X and later Y, who give a completely different impression in their works - new methods are preferred, but also themes that are no longer so strongly defined, while at the same time it is possible to speak of the so-called postfeminization of literature, especially in the prose written by women authors debuting in the the beginning of the new millennium.
