| Description | Dr. Johanna El Kallak Haugwitz celebrated her life anniversary on June 13, 2023. Allow me, then, to say a few words from my position as her fellow historian. Dr. Johanna Haugwitz has been coming to Namesti from abroad for many years, and yet she still comes home. As far as I can judge, she feels that way and so do the people she comes to visit. Moreover, she continues the cultural activities that her ancestors supported in Náměšt'. She is, in fact, a certain embodiment of continuity that can overcome all the discontinuities of the complicated and often tragic history of the 20th century. |
