Citation
Description The paper is devoted to the background and circumstances of organological development and research in Czechoslovakia in the second half of the 20th century, which took place in direct interaction with the musical instrument industry itself. Because of this close cooperation, research and development institutions gradually became part of the structure of the Czechoslovak Musical Instruments enterprise. The paper takes into account both the reasons for the creation of this institutional background and its development over time. Given the trends of the time, most of the new instruments mentioned fall into the group of electrophones, undergoing rapid development at the time. Within this, there were also developments of specimens whose nature may seem quite curious to today's minds. The specificity of the situation at the time also provokes questions about the conditions for research of this nature and their influence on this type of production.
