| Description | The publication presents the results of the international research PIRLS 21 in the Czech Republic, in the reflection of the development and application activities to support literacy, reading and reading for pleasure among pupils in the first grade of primary school. It highlights the cooperation between the school and the public library, the importance of the school library and the role of the teaching librarian as a participant in the pupil's journey towards lifelong literacy.
