Description From the idea of the unity of the cosmos, the ancient people are convinced that they can influence cosmic events through ritual and ethical behavior required by the gods. The features of this ethics of ancient civilizations were demonstrated on examples from Mesopotamia, ancient Egypt, China, India, Greece and Rome, for comparison also from Peru (Incas), and the lecture was supplemented by examples of values in transitional periods of history, such as the so-called Dark Period of Greece or the Viking Age. The lecture was followed by an hour-long discussion.
