Description The aim of this lecture was to present the problem of the identification of literary and non-literary texts, especially in France during the century of the Enlightenment. Can texts of political philosophy be considered part of literature? If we consider these works only as philosophical (intellectual) works, their literary dimension is lost, even though, it could serve in the interpretation of their content. The aim is to show that works of political philosophy have intellectual as well as aesthetic value and are therefore intellectual as well as literary works.
