| Description | Small museums in the Czech Republic play an important role in the preservation and transmission of cultural heritage, especially at the regional level. These museums often focus on local history, traditional crafts, folklore or specific personalities and events associated with the area. Examples include the Hustopeče Municipal Museum and Gallery, which focuses on regional crafts and wine traditions, and the Mendel Museum in Brno, which promotes the legacy of Gregor Johann Mendel and genetics. The article was written as part of the Small Museums project, which links the Hustopeče Museum and Gallery and the Mendel Museum, and emphasises the preservation of cultural heritage through the promotion of small museums. |
