| Description | The 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage introduced entirely new concepts, different from the principles of care for tangible heritage protected by the older and still better-known 1972 World Heritage Convention. The paper highlighted the main differences in the principles of care for tangible and intangible cultural heritage and explained the role of inventorying intangible cultural heritage through regional and state inventories and the difference from UNESCO listings. |
