| Description | Today, when we mention teaching Latin by the direct method, a set of textbooks by the Danish author Hans H. Orberg, Lingua Latina per se illustrata, probably comes to mind. However, few people know that many more similar textbooks were produced, especially at the beginning of the 20th century. It is their introduction that was the focus of this paper, together with a reflection on their possible use in teaching today. |
