Description | his lecture examines patterns of incrimination in the Bologna inquisition register (1291–1310) using social network analysis. Employing Exponential Random Graph Models (ERGM) and Dynamic Network Actor Models (DyNAM), I analyze the influence of gender, social status and kinship ties on incrimination patterns, while controlling for trial circumstances and network structure. Findings highlight gendered dynamics offering insights into the complex interplay of social factors in medieval heresy trials. |
