| Description | The presented text analyzes the leading role of the Moravian Museum of Applied Arts in Brno in the integration of German national science museums in Moravia at the beginning of the 20th century. It primarily focuses on the formation process and the resulting establishment of the Association of German-Moravian Local Museums (Verband deutsch-mährischer Ortsmuseen). It aims to discuss its main actors and also maps the development and activities of one of the first professional organizations on the territory of the Czech lands. The overall context and conditions that led to the unification of the German segment of museum work in Moravia will also be explained. |
