| Description | Knowledge of the development of local memory institutions is one of the basic prerequisites for understanding the history and present of a given locality. The local industrial museum was one of the institutions that operated (not only) in Třebíč in the first half of the 20th century. The main aim of the paper is to explain the origins of its establishment, to provide basic information about the activities and personalities of this institute and to present the circumstances leading to its closure, based on available archival and written sources and some already published research. At the same time, it intends to place the phenomenon under study in a contemporary museum-historical context and to evaluate its significance for the cultural, economic and social life of the Třebíč region. |
