Description One hundred and thirty years ago in a house on the square in Náchod was born one of our most remarkable composers of the 20th century, Sláva Vorlová. In a life that was both tragic and artistically fulfilling, she managed to pass through most of the 20th century without stagnating in the development of her musical thinking. She is still awaiting her true historical appreciation, although she has already received several awards during her lifetime, including the President of the Republic's award for outstanding work in 1959. "Glory to Czech music!" was the greeting with which she ended her letters and the motto that she tried to live up to throughout her life.
