Description The Czech translation of the first composition of the poetic collection „Liber decem capitulorum“, by Marobodus Redonensis (*circa 1035, † 1123), is made in accented imitation of the original and is annotated. The introductory commentary provides information on 11th/12th–century literary life, medieval theories of poetry, the author‘s literary contacts and his sources. The work is one of the earliest medieval poetics (ars poetica) and follows classical poetics “Ad Pisones” of Horatius.
